Yoga has never been tied to any religion in India. Religions have adopted principles from yoga and woven them into their systems. . . Our training refines a 200HR teaching foundation, while also providing a new breadth and depth to alignment-based asana, pranayama, meditation, Sanskrit, nutrition, yogic lifestyle, therapeutics, trauma sensitivity, sequencing, adjustments and much more...If you’ve begun your yoga teaching career you probably learned very quickly that your students have a variety of conditions and concerns that bring them to yoga. Whether it’s low back pain, hypertension, lack of confidence, trauma, depression, stress, etc. most people have something they are working on. We aim to make you not just a good teacher but a great teacher, equip for the challenges and joys of a sustainable teaching career. Learn more and apply with the link in bio.
Sometimes we get complicated on the yoga wall and other times we’re just hanging out. Versatility and play are just some of our specialties at All Life is Yoga.
All Life is Yoga has a 200 HR and 300HR yoga teacher training starting at the end of March. When it comes to learning asana (postures), our certifications provide some of the most thorough anatomy and alignment knowledge available. We emphasize accessibility, safety and efficacy for teachers and students. As teachers we aim to share a practice that students can take well into their 90's, as opposed to the short term gratification of performing glamorous postures that leave bodies broken in their 30's & 40's. Join Rutu @huntervali today, Saturday, February 23rd, from 11:30am-1pm for a 1.5 hour class on back bends. Backbends energize the body, correct poor posture, improve breath capacity, open the heart, cultivate joy and bring you out of the past and into the now. They are powerful poses that have lasting effects on the spine and nervous system. In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali explains that some of the greatest kleshas, obstacles or causes of suffering, are raga, attachment, usually to pleasure and devesha, aversion, usually to pain. These attachments and aversions take us out of the moment. We'll work with backbends as a practice of presence. Drop ins for $15 or use your class card.

During my 2,000HR Purna Yoga Teacher Training I saved this 26 page book for last thinking it would be the easiest one to write a book/reflection report for. Not so. The restorative and stretch & rest classes at our studio start with warm ups then we use props to completely support the body. These postures are held for a few minutes to allow the muscles and connective tissues time to rest and deeply relax. Breathing guidance is offered throughout the class to further calm the nervous system. Monday night 8:00-9:00pm Tuesday 9:30-10:45am Wednesday 6:45-8:00pm Friday 6:45-8:00pm Sunday 10:00-11:15am
